Should children in the year 2001 still have to rummage in a dump for enough food for a meal?
Certainly not, but they do! No child, No human being should have to compete with dogs and vultures in city dumps for food or have to sleep in crate boxes for shelter. But they do it everyday around the world! The Church of God operates a Christian Elementary School in Guazacapan, Santa Rosa in Southern Guatemala. They are making a difference in the lives of the poor children. Each day, 175 children have a school to attend, they receive health care, an education, and a noon meal each day. All of this thanks to caring people who help support the effort.
WMA Missions of Indiana assists this effort by supplying computer equipment, providing Internet Service, and supporting pastors. Vice-President, Donald L. Curtis of WMA will be visiting Guatemala this spring. You can email Donald Curtis direct at: drdonaldo@msn.com for up-to-date information.
